This is Coach or Ms. Saenz. She has been teaching for one year. She played volleyball for only one year in her life, but now has coached for two. This is her second year. She has started coaching basketball, high jump, and volleyball. She also teaches science in the 6th grade building.

This is the Alamo Heights volleyball coach, Ms. Saenz. “My sister got me into volleyball. I love playing with her,” Ms. Saenz expressed. That is how she started her love for volleyball and what got her into it. Her sister was a big influence on her passion for the sport. “What got me into coaching was watching my sister and dad play,” Saenz said. Her family expressed a lot of interest in the sport to her. She has loved volleyball since middle school and only played in middle school for her volleyball career.

Also, she loves the girls. “I love coaching because I love helping the girls improve,” Saenz said. The girls have made many improvements since she first got there and started helping all around. They have been getting better and better all season, from start to end. She has just gotten into the teaching world and started at Alamo Heights.

Nevertheless, she has not been here for too long. “This is my second year teaching and coaching. This is also my second year teaching,” Saenz said. This is her first year at the school. She has also been teaching at the school, not just coaching. She is an English teacher in the 6th grade building for 6th graders.

They have had a lot of close games throughout the season. Some were Loma Alta and Voss, which were two of their closer games. “Voss Middle School, so we lost the first game 26-24, then the second we won 25-15, and finally the third game we lost 25-21,” Saenz announced. Their farthest game was Fredericksburg. “Our farthest game was Fredericksburg, and we won both sets 25-18 and 25-20,” Saenz said, after a 2-hour ride.

“Yes, I’ll take the stats of all the players and the end score of the game,” Saenz said. This is what she does for the blue team and how she helps them during the game. This is what she does after their gold game and how she helps the blue team after they play their game. When she helps the blue team, she keeps track of everything that happens in the game.
