NJHS stands for the National Junior Honor Society, a special organization at Alamo Heights Junior School that gives students the chance to earn high school credit while still in junior school. Members attend meetings during school hours and complete community service outside of school. NJHS has a huge positive effect on our campus by encouraging respect, responsibility, and hard work.

Have you ever wondered how you can start preparing for high school right now while also helping your community? At Alamo Heights Junior School, NJHS is an amazing opportunity to do both. It is more than just a club — it’s a way to show what being a Mule is all about!

One of the best parts about NJHS is that students can earn high school credit early. This gives members a head start on their future as Mules. During meetings, students learn about leadership, responsibility, and how to become better students and role models.

But NJHS doesn’t stop when the school bell rings. Members are also required to complete community service outside of school. Whether it’s helping at a local food bank, supporting school events, or cleaning up parks, these projects show that AHJS students care about giving back.

NJHS has a very positive impact on our student body. It teaches students the importance of respect, service, and hard work. When you see someone wearing an NJHS shirt or talking about their service hours, you know they are committed to making Alamo Heights a better place.

If you want to challenge yourself, help others, and get ready for high school, NJHS is a great organization to join. It’s a meaningful way to grow as a student and as a person!
