Each year, the Alamo Heights Junior School holds a Valentine’s Day Dance for the sixth graders. You can go with friends or even go with a date. This year, the dance was held on Thursday, February 12th, after school. The dance was held in the Junior School Cafeteria, though it was unrecognizable with all of the tables gone and all of its Valentine’s decorations and photo booths.

At the dance, the sixth graders could dance, take photos in the photo booth with all of the cool props, hang out with friends, and buy food and drinks. Evelyn Case chose to hang out with her friends for most of the dance, but she also said that she took a lot of photos in the photo booth with all the different props. Since this is the sixth graders’ first year of middle school, the dance is also a great way to make memories with your friends that you will cherish forever. Evelyn also said that making memories and hanging out with her friends was super fun and she would never forget these new memories.

Evelyn Case stated, “The most fun part about the dance was the photobooth.” When I asked her why, she said that using all the different props was super fun. She also said that taking all the photos with all of her friends was really fun.

Because the Valentine’s Day Dance is a fundraiser, the food and drinks did cost a little bit of money. Evelyn Case said that if she could change one thing about the dance, it would be to make the food and drinks free, so that people could enjoy the dance without having to worry about paying for food and drinks.

Not only is the Valentine’s Day Dance a great way to make memories and hang out with friends, but Evelyn Case said, “The dance was really fun.”

Overall, the sixth graders’ Valentine’s Day Dance is a way to hang out with your friends, make awesome memories, take cool pictures in the photo booth, and eat good food and drinks.
