The pep rally is a thrilling and busy event that everyone at the junior school attends. It is one of many events that show their Alamo Heights colors and bring their Mule spirit. The Mules gathered as one big family to get loud and show their support.
“Watching the teachers kiss the mule,” says Alijah Garcia, describing his favorite part of the thrilling pep rally. Three lucky winners got to kiss the mule: Mrs. Alexander, Ms. Fausnaugh, and Mrs. Embrey. As the teachers kissed the mule, the football field full of students and teachers erupted with excitement and laughter.
“They gave out flags and did the cheerleader performance,” says Maksym Kuzmenko, explaining something he enjoyed. As each student walked into the pep rally, they were handed flags to show the school colors. As everyone started to get to their seats, the cheerleaders began an astonishing performance that captured everyone’s attention.
“The memories that the pep rally helped create,” states Maksym Kuzmenko, explaining one way the pep rally was meaningful. One of the most significant aspects of the pep rally is bringing family, friends, faculty, and staff together, and this pep rally did just that. The pep rally wasn’t just a good time; it also created memories that the teachers and students will cherish for a lifetime.
Pep rallies are one way to unite the community, and the Mules showed up and out in a big way. It was a great opportunity to showcase our blue and gold colors. It gathered everyone from our community to unite as one and get hyped for the Mules.
