“We are a brand-new dance team,” says Emily Wiatrek, one of the team’s coaches. In just one year of existence, this dynamic dance team has made an impressive mark by participating in a wide array of events. According to Wiatrek, they have taken part in festive parades, exhilarating game days, and competitive showcases, showcasing their talent and dedication at every turn. Each performance reflects not only their hard work and skill but also their commitment to building a supportive and inclusive environment for all members.
The Junior Spurs have successfully created a welcoming club where every dancer feels valued and has a place—both on the stage and in the hearts of their community. Their ability to unite individuals of varying backgrounds and abilities is a testament to their positive impact. “Our main goal for this team is to be fun, have spirit, and be inclusive,” Coach Wiatrek says.
