Do you ever feel overwhelmed staying on top of assignments, grades, and schedule? Welcome to your guide – the Home Access Center or HAC for short. It helps students keep track of everything in their school life. `
Logging in
To access the HAC login, go to the Alamo Heights Independent School District website (ahisd.net).
Next, at the top of the website, go to the “Students” section and click on “Student HAC”, then scroll down to the bottom where it says “Login To HAC”.
After it sends you to the login page, put in your username and password that the school should have given you at the beginning of the school year.
Pro Tip: Parents can also login to HAC. They can either create their own username and password or the district can provide them with some.
The Attendance Tab:
After you login, you will be sent to the dashboard, and at the top, there will be different tabs.
At the top, you will see a tab that says, “Attendance”. If you check the attendance, you will see how many days you have missed. For example, if you were absent or left early for a doctor or dentist appointment, it will show up there as well.
Checking Your Grades and Progress
In the “Grades” section, you’ll find your current class grades along with the status of each assignment.
If an assignment is listed with a dash, it typically means your teacher has not yet graded it, or it’s still being processed.
A zero usually indicates a missing or unsubmitted assignment. If you’re unsure why an assignment is marked as a zero, it’s a good idea to contact your teacher to clarify.
Pro Tip: Keeping track of grades regularly helps you stay on top of any issues early, so check this tab often. If you notice missing work, make sure to reach out and resolve it as soon as possible.
The Schedule Tab
In the “Schedule” section, you will find your schedule with the building and class numbers from your school periods. If you forget which period you have math- it’s perfect for when you forget where to go during school changes.
Recommendations
Check HAC at least once a week- or even better, every few days. It’ll help you stay ahead, avoid surprises, and take control of your school life.
Need Help? If you have trouble logging into HAC:
