At Alamo Heights Junior School, the Unified Champions Club is breaking down barriers one friendship at a time. Knox Emerson, a dedicated member from Alamo Heights Junior School, enthusiastically shares his perspective on some of the exciting adventures they’ve experienced together: “We go on a field trip to the University of the Incarnate Word for the Special Olympics. It’s a really fun field trip.” These field trips and special events provide students with opportunities to experience the broader community of inclusion and witness firsthand the power of unified sports and activities.
