What if one meeting a week could strengthen a student’s faith, build friendships, and create a lasting impact? The Fellowship of Christian Athletes offers students a place to grow spiritually, learn more about the Bible, and connect with others who share their beliefs. This article explains what students say they learn at meetings and the impact FCA can have on their lives.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes focuses on helping students grow in their faith in Jesus. When George Macdaniel was asked why new members might consider joining, he said, “It’s a great way to connect with Jesus more.” Connecting students is one of FCA’s main goals.
At Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings, members gain deeper knowledge about faith and the Bible. As one student describes, “Over time, through FCA, I have learned how much closer I’ve gotten with Jesus and how much I’ve learned about Him.” This demonstrates that participating in FCA meetings can support spiritual growth and strengthen students’ personal relationship with Jesus.
Students say the impact can last for years. George Macdaniel said that he plans to continue attending meetings through college and hopes to speak at a meeting later in his life, showing that the values FCA promotes may continue influencing students beyond middle school.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is one of the organizations available to students at Alamo Heights Junior School, as well as at schools around the world. Students who are interested in learning more about the Bible and growing their connection with Jesus can choose to attend FCA meetings each week.
