Why is Culture Night important? Culture Night is important for many reasons. For example, this event can bring families together by sharing all the diverse cultures. Mr. Grenier is one of the people who created this night to bring families together and celebrate diverse cultures. “The way Culture Night works is by having families come and bring traditional foods and have performances from their traditions,” says Mr. Grenier.

Planning Culture Night can be exhausting for Mr. Grenier and his staff, considering table maintenance, electricity, families participating, and performance schedules. “Planning Culture Night takes a while to plan; the whole process can take up to two months,” Mr. Grenier says. Culture Night has a great meaning behind the event. It brings people comfort by allowing them to show the public their religion and cultural differences, demonstrating that it’s okay to be out of their comfort zone.

At Culture Night, there are many vibrant multicultural performances that families put on to entertain the audience. For example, Folklórico is a beautiful dance style in Mexican tradition that captures everyone’s attention with its vibrant colored dresses. What is significant about this event is that all the community members and families participate to share their culture, foods, clothing, and music.
