When I interviewed Raleigh Fry about the soccer team, I learned that there is much more to soccer than we might think. Raleigh shared details about how the team works together and supports each other. For example, they encourage one another when scoring goals and stay positive throughout the game. Raleigh says that even when a player makes a mistake, teammates try to communicate and encourage each other instead of getting upset.

The soccer team has two captains, Hattie Naugher and Lena Pepping, who help bring the team together. They make sure everyone feels supported during the game and help tell their teammates what they are doing or if they are doing something wrong. Their leadership helps the team stay connected and ready to play.

When the game gets tough, players encourage each other even if someone makes a mistake. This shows how nice and caring the team is. Supporting each other helps everyone keep a positive attitude and shows that the players really care about their teammates. This also shows that the players can pass around kindness.

The team’s main way to win games is by working together as a team. If the coach sees the strategy isn’t working, like when it’s hard to get open, he tells the team so they can change what they are doing. This helps the team stay flexible and ready to try new ideas. Also, a good strategy the coach has is to change possessions or teach every position, so that if he tells you to go to a position you usually don’t play, you are still prepared.

When someone scores a goal, the whole team gets really excited. They celebrate with handshakes, chest bumps, and other fun moves. This makes everyone feel proud and confident, which helps the team keep up their energy for the rest of the game. Being supportive of each other can also help the team be respectful of each other.

These reasons show why it’s important for the soccer team to work as a unit. Working together helps boost everyone’s confidence throughout the season. Additionally, when players encourage and support one another, it creates a positive environment where kindness spreads, inspiring everyone to keep lifting each other up.
